Lots to like on this debut release from Portland band Mermaid In China. The Vast Divide is the catchy opener to the EP and it demonstrates some of the band's influences - they claim to sound a little bit like Phoenix and M83 and you can definitely hear that on this track. I'm loving the climatic chorus at the track's conclusion.
